Meet Terra, a dual device system that Tool helped design and manufacture. Terra uses a smart wristband that detects impending hot flashes and triggers a thermoelectric unit and pump, leading to surface cooling through water circulation. Our collaboration with the talented minds at Amira Health has resulted in a hub that aligns seamlessly with the overall aesthetic language, reflecting the cool and calming essence of the product. We’ve focused on user-friendliness and optimal performance.Sleep deprivation due to hot flashes affects over 42 million women in the US, with an average cost of $20,000 spent on often ineffective remedies. The Amira team, led by CEO Loewen Cavill and her brilliant MIT associates, have conceived a product that predicts and reduces hot flash severity by over 60%.
