Tool worked closely with Allen Sports to design and engineer an automotive roof mounting solution that offers a unique installation and adjustment experience. The team identified key areas for designing that focused on security, ease of use, and tool-less operation, all while maintaining an adaptive architecture.

The innovative crossbar is built with a precision aluminum extrusion and a wide rubber landing pad that runs along the top of the bar to protect your gear. The assembly is secured by a dual bolt system which enables adjustment to the width of the mounting rails and tightening of the straps at one convenient location. The bolt access is covered by a simple integrated hex tool and secured by a locking core and key. Resulting in a minimal design with maximum functionality.
