Industrial Design 

The InReach 2.0 is the next generation of an existing handset that provides outdoors enthusiasts with network communication wherever they are located.  Using the Iridium and GPS satellite systems, these devices allow the user to send and receive text messages, issue an SOS, share their location, and navigate.

Tool helped generate a series of design concepts meant to explore a few different camps of style.  Then we took those preferred directions and built CAD models of each for rapid prototyping into scale hand-models.

In 2016, DeLorme was purchase by Garmin Ltd., but the InReach family of handsets continues to be sold today.
