Power Distribution Units are for distributing power to racks of computers and networking equipment. With data centers expected to double in size within the next 3-4 years, Gateview Technologies’ entry into the market would provide a lower cost and highly configurable solution. Over 1000 rack-mounted PDU configurations are possible during manufacturing with this design while delivering a complete product that differentiates itself from other modular solutions on the market. Our work involved extensive engineering and configuration tables. We also helped to develop a novel way of preventing plugs from being removed without intention, a feature named CordLOK. Towards the end of the effort, we designed PowerLOK’s packaging, which was also configurable for different order volumes.
